A mobile recording facility

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where should I record?

If you're a student, you can book one of the halls in the the music buildings. Recital Hall is a good choice, and has a great concert grand piano. Ford Hall is also a good choice, especially if you don't want the sound of a larger hall.

It's possible to get a good sound in almost any quiet space. Even a basement can work, as long as there isn't a lot of traffic or noisy neighbors.

  • What are your rates?

Rates vary depending on the scope of the project and the number of hours you need. Typically, you can expect around $35 per hour for recording and editing of a small project. Larger projects will be less per hour. Click here for more information on rates and packages.

  • What will I get when the project is over?

When the editing is complete, you'll receive a master CD with all your tracks. We can also provide you with the WAVE files, MP3s, etc.

  • I need a bunch of CDs to send away or to sell. Can you do that?

Sure! If you need just a few CDs to mail off for auditions, we'll create a couple of extra copies at no charge. We work with a duplication service to accommodate large runs of 50 discs or more. We'll even help you create the artwork for the CD inserts if you like.
